JOYFUL HEART

MEMORISE: Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. – Philippians 4:4

BIBLE READING: Proverbs 15:13

13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

MESSAGE:

Having a joyful heart is a vital part of expressing your faith. This is because joy is not just about being happy when things are going well; it is also about finding peace and contentment in God’s presence even when things are not going well. The Bible teaches that true joy comes from our relationship with God and trusting in His promises.

In today’s memory verse, we are encouraged to rejoice always. This means that you should choose to focus on God’s goodness and love, even when life gets tough. When l lost my son a few years ago, I became sad. When | heard what some people said about the situation, I was so shaken, but I didn’t remain in that state for long. I drew from the well of joy in the Holy Ghost.

My dear child, you can cultivate joy by spending quality time in prayer every day, reading the Bible daily, and praising God for His faithfulness at all times. Surround yourself with positive influences and seek out activities that will uplift your spirit. Remember thatjoy is a fruit of the Spirit, which grows as you walk closely with God.

KEY POINT:
True joy comes from cultivating a rich relationship with God.
