CROSSING THE JORDAN RIVER

MEMORISE: And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. Joshua 3:17

BIBLE READING: Joshua 3:14-17

14 And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people;

15 And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)

16 That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.

17 And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

MESSAGE:

After wandering in the desert for 40 years, the Israelites were finally ready to enter into the Promised Land. However, the River Jordan stood in their way, and it was overflowing at that season. God then instructed Joshua to have the priests carry the Ark of the Covenant and step into the river. as soon as the priests’ feet touched the water, the river stopped flowing, and the Israelites crossed on dry ground. They trusted God to lead them and obeyed His commands despite the seemingly impossible situation.

Having faith means trusting God even when the path ahead is unclear or difficult. When you face your own ‘River Jordan’, remember that God is with you, and He will provide a way.

My dear child, step forward in faith, knowing that God’s promises are true and that He is always faithful. I believe that if you are currently facing any challenge, it will become plain, and you will step into your greatness, in Jesus’ name.

KEY POINT:
Your little faith can move mountains. Simply believe!
