MEMORISE: The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthians 9:8-11
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
MESSAGE:
Living an abundant life in Christ is living a life of purpose and fulfilling destiny. Living an abundant life is beyond acquiring material things, becoming influential on social media, or having a lot of money. In fact, Luke 12:15 emphasises that the essence of a man does not consist in his possessions. Thus, a Christian should not be identified by material things.
Beloved, even though God is interested in your material prosperity, He also desires for you to have a life that is full of peace, joy, and fulfilment. He wants you to prosper spiritually, and one way to achieve this is by growing in the fruits of righteousness and living a holy life.
My dear child, do not let your peers or anyone else entice you with material things such that you begin to compromise your faith. That does not align with God’s prosperity plan for you. Also, be careful not to end up like Solomon, who was blessed abundantly by God but became carried away and went after other gods. Let God be at the centre of your life at all times, whether you are living in affluence or experiencing moments of lack. That way, you will truly live abundantly in Jesus.
KEY POINT:
An abundant life in Christ goes beyond material prosperity.
