MEMORISE: And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Genesis 25:21
BIBLE READING: Genesis 25:21-22
21 And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the Lord.
MESSAGE:
Some people in some families are in bad situations but have no one to pray for them. Their family members take them from one minister of God to another, seeking prayers, whereas they are meant to emulate Isaac’s actions in today’s Bible reading. He fervently interceded for his wife, who had been barren for twenty years, and God answered their prayers with the gift of twin sons.
For a man to endure those years of waiting with his wife, it shows that he must have loved her genuinely and that was why God hearkened unto his prayers. For you to intercede for anyone, you must do it with a heart of genuine love so that there will be no hindrance to the answers to your prayers.
You must support your loved ones, especially during times of hardship, sickness, and waiting. Lift them up in prayers, trusting in God’s faithfulness to answer your prayers according to His perfect timing. God is always at work behind the scenes, even when all hope seems lost. My dear child, I encourage you not to lose hope over that hopeless situation in your family, community, school, or church. Arise and pray!
KEY POINT:
Never underestimate the power of intercessory prayer.
